By now most of the Parisians have migrated to foreign waters. However amongst the sock and sandal bearing tourists there are still a few “natives” looking for that mid week adventure. Mr Trust the Buzz, my charming carvalier for the night and I being the “few”. This Wednesday night we decided to hit the Social club to see the legendary DJ Qbert.

DJ Qbert along with Mix Master Mike are in the world of turntablism somewhat legends with several DMC World championship titles (they actually retired from the competition because they kept on winning). The concept of turntablism/scratching is to “manipulate” or scratch the record to create beats rhymically. DJ Qbert amongst many other turntablists scratches “hamster” style (no, that doesn’t mean he gets a hamster with long claws to run around on the record 
). It means he uses the crossfader on the mixer, reverse style.
All I can say after seeing him live last night that man has magic fingers.
